These Terms of Use are a straightforward agreement between you and the maker of casks. They explain what the app is for, how you may use it, and where responsibility begins and ends.
By downloading or using casks, you agree to this agreement. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. The summary date for these terms is September 15, 2026, and later updates will replace earlier versions when published.
You should be old enough to use apps under applicable laws where you live. casks is a personal productivity-style cellar notebook, not a service aimed at children. You do not need to register or log in to explore the app’s features.
casks helps you keep a private cellar of whiskey, wine, and related bottles. In practical terms, you can:
Content you enter is for your personal reference. casks does not replace professional advice about alcohol, collecting, storage conditions, or investment value.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use casks on Apple devices you own or control, in line with the App Store rules and these terms. You may not copy, reverse engineer, redistribute, rent, or resell the app, except to the limited extent applicable laws expressly allow.
When using casks, you agree not to:
You keep ownership of the bottle details, photos, tasting notes, and other material you add. You are responsible for that content and for having the rights needed to store and display it in the app. Because records are primarily kept on your device, you should export or back up anything important using your own methods if you need a copy outside the app.
The casks name, app design, original artwork assets shipped with the product, and underlying software remain ours or our licensors’. These terms do not give you ownership of the app itself—only permission to use it as described.
casks relies on Apple system capabilities such as photos, camera, notifications, tracking authorization prompts, and in-app web views for linked documents. Those components are governed by Apple’s terms and your device settings. Linked websites you open from the app may have their own terms and privacy notices.
We may update features, fix bugs, or discontinue parts of the experience over time. The app depends on your device, iOS version, and available system permissions. You may stop using casks at any time by deleting it. We may suspend access if needed to address misuse, legal obligations, or technical risk.
The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted under applicable laws, we disclaim warranties that are not expressly stated here, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted under applicable laws, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-data damages arising from your use of the cellar notebook, reminder timing, or photo handling. Some protections cannot be limited in certain places; in those cases, our responsibility is limited to the minimum required by relevant regulatory requirements.
If a dispute arises about these terms or the app, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute will be handled under applicable laws and, where needed, through competent dispute resolution bodies, without designating a specific country, city, or court in this document.
Questions about these Terms of Use can be sent to rowan.amber@caskledger.app. Use the same address for product or privacy questions about casks so we can keep conversations consistent.
By continuing to use casks after September 15, 2026, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this agreement.
